Service Description: Grayscale hillshading for King County and the surrounding region, produced as a multi-scale-level map to be used for generating an ArcGIS Server basemap cache in the Web Mercator tiling scheme. This composite hillshade map incorporates hillshade products from two elevation data sources: a 6-foot-resolution lidar-derived digital elevation model covering King County plus parts of southwest Snohomish and northwest Pierce counties (https://www.kingcounty.gov/operations/GIS/GISData/Metadata/Elevation_data.aspx#DGM_Elevation), and a 30-meter-resolution digital elevation model of Washington State (https://www5.kingcounty.gov/sdc/raster/Elevation/Washington_State_USGS_DEM_and_Hillshade.faq.html).
