Service Description: King County tile-cache base map featuring aerial imagery acquired in 2021. The cache was generated from a natural-color orthographic aerial imagery mosaic of King County and southwestern Snohomish County. The source dataset consists of tiled orthogonal imagery derived from aerial photographs captured by EagleView Technologies. Resolution is 3 inches per pixel (“Neighborhood” scale in EagleView terminology) over urbanized, western King County, and 9 inches per pixel (“Community” scale) over rural, eastern King County. Also covered at the Neighborhood level are southwestern Snohomish County, the U.S. Highway 2 corridor in northeastern King County, and the Alpental area near Snoqualmie Pass. The imagery in the mosaic is licensed to King County by EagleView Technologies.
Capture resolution is three inches per pixel for western King County and southwestern Snohomish County, and nine inches per pixel for eastern King County.
